Linkage Systems Corporation is privately funded and was founded in 2000 to develop software products and services that embrace the themes of software integration, innovation, and collaboration. Linkage Systems focuses on affordable and easy to deploy solutions that enable local outlets to fully leverage the existing investments in national and regional brand advertising. By integrating advances in mass customization, digital imaging, and automated workflow technology, Linkage Systems is positioned to help local businesses compete effectively in a marketplace driven by increasingly sophisticated consumers who are relying more on local search and targeted marketing to find merchants and make purchases.
John E. Arnold, President and CTO, has degrees in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Brown University. John has 30 years of software development experience in companies ranging for small to large including Adobe, Banyan, Bull HN, Digital Equipment Corporation, and Enterprise Knowledge Systems. John's product development efforts have helped ship products such as Adobe ImageStyler, BeyondMail, and DEC FUSE. John's experience also includes applied research (including a multi-million dollar ARPA award shared with Bull HN, Columbia University, and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) and teaching (at DEC and Brandeis University). In addition to his software development career, John is an active supporter of public libraries. He was a member of the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners from 1994-2006 and served as Chairman from July 2004 through June 2006 and currently serves as a non-librarian member of the LYRASIS Board of Trustees.
